Ein lang tradisjon / A long tradition

Balestrand har lang tradisjon for å huse kunstnarar, og fjellet Vindreken er eit av de mest malte motiv i Noreg. Bygda trekte til seg både nasjonale og internasjonale kunstnarar grunna naturen, lyset og Fritjov-sagaen. Balestrand has a long tradition of residing artists, attracting both national and international artists due its nature, the light and the history of Fritjov.
